Arcana Tattoo Craft is a female-owned tattoo studio nestled in the heart of Lyttelton, Christchurch, New Zealand. Established 14 years ago in the wake of the Christchurch earthquake, Arcana was founded by three women with a shared vision: to create a non-intimidating, welcoming space where people could feel safe, seen, and inspired.
Our studio offers a warm, friendly atmosphere with stunning harbour views — a serene backdrop for your tattoo journey. We specialize in fine line, realism, blackwork, ornamental, floral, coverups, pop culture, lettering, sacred geometry, micro realism, dot work, Māori-inspired designs, and scar covering. Every piece we create is rooted in deep care, precision, and artistic integrity.
At Arcana, building genuine, trusting relationships with our clients is at the core of what we do. Whether it’s your first tattoo or a meaningful new addition, we’re here to guide you through the process with humility, skill, and heart.
Bookings
Whether you want something simple or a full-on masterpiece, we’ve got you covered. Tattoos are permanent and personal, so we don’t rush anything. We take bookings to give every piece—and every client—the attention they deserve. Walk-ins are welcome when we have availability, but to guarantee your spot, booking ahead is best.
To lock in your appointment, we ask for a $100 deposit. It’s not an extra fee—it goes toward your final tattoo cost. Deposits are non-refundable and can be paid by bank transfer or cash in studio.
